Damaged or Lost Costume
All rentals require a security deposit of 30% of the value of the total rental. This must be paid prior to receipt of the items rented. The security deposit will be returned after all costume items have been returned and checked in, paid for, and approved by Fairy Dancer.
Costumes may not be altered to fit and must be returned in their original condition. If a costume is returned altered or damaged, fees will be charged. No cutting, dying, painting, gluing or distressing is allowed. No alterations or augmentation is allowed on leather, velvet, silk, or any other delicate fabric where puncture marks from sewing may be visible once the alteration is removed. If alteration is required, kindly inform Fairy Dancer. Fairy Dancer has the sole authority to make alterations to all costume pieces.
Our rental fees are determined on a per piece basis. All payment shall be settled before rental start date. If the rental time exceeds the agreed upon rental period (5 days), a charge of 20% of the total rental will be added for each additional week. If additional rescheduling of a rental period is required, please contact Fairy Dancer as soon as possible. Rescheduling must be approved for late fees not to occur.
All costume pieces shall not be wash. Costumes damaged due to improper cleaning will be handled as damaged or lost as described below.
Normal wear and tear on costumes is expected and won’t incur extra charges. Damage beyond normal wear and tear will incur damage charges above the security deposit. Damage charges will be assessed for broken zippers, detached garment pieces, make-up or other permanent stains or any other damage that renders the costume not rentable. It includes the cost of the supplies needed to restore the garment to its original state as well as labor costs. Major damage to costumes, including irreparable tears, or irreversible marks will be assessed at the replacement value of the costume. Lost costumes will be assessed with a lost costume fee of the replacement value of the costume. This value is determined by the Fairy Dancer based on current replacement costs, not market value.
